About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Manager to lead one of our key contracts. The role includes managing a small mechanical and electrical team and primarily leading a soft services team covering cleaning and security. You will ensure exceptional service delivery contractual compliance and client satisfaction. Full accountability for contracts profit and loss performance and for meeting contractual Key Performance Indicators captured in a monthly business report forms a core part of this position.
The Account Manager acts as the primary point of contact for the client ensuring that all reactive and planned maintenance tasks are delivered on time within budget and in line with health safety and compliance standards. This hands on leadership role calls for strong operational financial and people management skills.
Your key responsibilities include
• Overseeing the delivery of total facilities management services across the building
• Ensuring all contractual Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreements are consistently met or exceeded
• Leading motivating and managing the onsite team including engineers cleaners security staff and helpdesk personnel
• Conducting regular performance reviews training and development sessions to maintain high standards of service delivery
• Taking full responsibility for budgeting forecasting cost control and overall profit and loss performance
• Identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies without compromising service quality
• Acting as the primary client contact building strong relationships and ensuring high levels of satisfaction
• Attending regular client meetings to review performance address concerns and explore service enhancements
• Handling escalations and resolving issues promptly to sustain client trust and confidence
• Ensuring that all services comply with UK health and safety regulations including COSHH RIDDOR and CDM
• Implementing and monitoring processes to secure efficient delivery of both hard and soft services
Ideal Candidate
• Proven experience as an Account Manager or similar role in the facilities management industry ideally covering total FM or soft services contracts
• Experience managing onsite teams and subcontractors in a multi site environment
• Demonstrable experience managing profit and loss and delivering against financial targets
• Relevant qualifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH desirable or a degree or diploma in facilities management business management or a related field
• Familiarity with computer aided facilities management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Results driven with a focus on delivering high quality service
• Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
