About the Role
Your key responsibilities include
• Operating power tools and equipment to carry out cutting and maintenance work in line with contract requirements, ensuring all work specifications and method statements are followed.
• Completing site documentation and risk assessments, and following safe working methods and good environmental practice.
• Maintaining plant, equipment, and company vehicles in good condition.
• When supervising a site, organising work so it is completed safely, productively, and to the required standard, while liaising with management when necessary.
• Maintaining personal and team competencies, completing tasks to the required standard the first time, keeping to work programmes and cutting cycles, and closing out audit actions promptly.
• Delivering operations within budget and timescale, and reporting contract progress.
Key Hiring Criteria
• Certificates required CS 30, CS 31, Chipper, First Aid; ideally CS 32, CS 38, CS 39, CS 40, CS 41, CS 45, UA 1, UA 2.1, UA 5, PA1, PA6AW, B plus E.
• Risk assessment and environmental risk assessment training.
• Experience leading a maintenance team on vegetation management contracts, with a strong commitment to safety for yourself and colleagues.
