About the Role
Days of Working Monday to Friday
Shift Pattern 08 00 to 16 30
This four year apprenticeship gives motivated individuals comprehensive training in the maintenance and repair of essential building systems across prestigious museum sites. Building Services Engineering keeps buildings operating efficiently; you will learn to plan and complete maintenance on ventilation heating water supply and other systems.
Key responsibilities
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance on building services systems
• Complete remedial and corrective repairs when required
• Monitor and manage plant operation with building and energy management systems
• Fault find diagnose repair and maintain systems components and equipment
• Inspect regularly to spot potential issues before they escalate
• Keep detailed records of all work repairs and replacements
• Ensure work complies with current industry standards and regulations
• Communicate clearly with clients suppliers site managers and other trades
• Work collaboratively with experienced engineering teams onsite
Work environment
You will be based at one of our client facilities maintaining complex building systems.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Enthusiasm for building services engineering and problem solving
• Good communication skills for working with team members and site managers
• Detail oriented approach and commitment to quality
• Willingness to learn environmental regulations and industry standards
• English and mathematics qualifications that meet apprenticeship funding rules
