About the Role
Working hours Part time to prepare lunch no cooking Monday to Friday eleven am to one pm for a day care unit
As a General Catering Assistant you will ensure prompt efficient preparation delivery and service of food and beverages for patients clients and guests.
Key responsibilities
• Provide courteous efficient service to patients and clients at all times
• Maintain contract health and safety and hygiene standards with correct documentation
• Prepare sandwiches salads and beverages as required
• Receive check sort and store supplier products as directed
• Set up the food service area to the standard set by management
• Wash up tidy remove waste and keep the kitchen and work area immaculately clean
Ideal Candidate
• Right to Work in the UK
• Willing to obtain an enhanced DBS
• Food Hygiene Certificate and Health and Safety training desirable training can be provided
• Practical food handling experience ideally in a healthcare setting
• Willing and able to work shifts on any Trust site including weekdays weekends nights and bank holidays
• Understanding of HACCP and COSHH
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
