About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our projects division in Loanhead Midlothian where you will learn every aspect of mechanical building services engineering. You will receive continuous assessment from a dedicated mentor and regular progress reviews.

Trainees are mainly office based but will also gain site experience. Once qualified you will work with project managers operations managers and directors to plan execute and commission projects.

Your key responsibilities include

• Supporting project delivery from planning through commissioning
• Assisting with project documentation scheduling and resource coordination
• Attending site visits to gain practical understanding of mechanical building services
• Working closely with senior engineers to ensure projects meet quality safety and programme requirements
• Engaging in day release studies toward an NC and HNC in building services engineering

Key Hiring Criteria

• Right to Work in the UK
• Ideal for a school leaver or anyone seeking further education while earning
• Preferred higher level qualifications in maths English and a science
• Willingness to complete a four year apprenticeship that combines work based learning with college study
