About the Role
The Area Support Officer supplies flexible reliable cover across client sites in the region ensuring high standards of security and customer service at all times.
Key responsibilities
• Provide short and long term cover for absences vacancies or special events at client sites
• Control access and egress patrol and monitor premises conduct searches and respond promptly to alarms and incidents
• Record incidents accurately and submit reports on time
• Operate and monitor security equipment including CCTV access control and alarm systems
• Follow site procedures and company policies at every location
• Build positive relationships with clients staff and visitors acting as the main point of contact for security matters during shifts
• Escalate and resolve client issues effectively
• Train mentor and guide new security personnel when needed
• Adapt quickly to site specific protocols and changing schedules
About You
Essential requirements
• Valid SIA licence Door Supervisor DS or Security Guard SG
• Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Previous experience in a security role with knowledge of best practice
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High adaptability and flexibility to cover varied shifts locations and environments
• Excellent problem solving ability and calm approach in emergencies
Successful candidates must also complete screening and vetting to BS7859.
