About the Role
This flexible worker position covers various shifts within a designated area. Typical shifts are Monday to Friday to cover sickness and absence, with times varying by location. As a Security Officer in the Courts and Tribunal system you will provide exceptional customer service while ensuring safety and security for all court users.
Key responsibilities
• Provide welcoming guidance and support to court users
• Monitor premises and visitors via CCTV and x ray machines and conduct security checks using hand held metal detectors and bag searches on arrival
• Patrol buildings and satellite locations maintaining radio contact with the control room
• Respond promptly to panic alarms in judges rooms courts and offices
• Handle any security issues within the complex recording and reporting incident details
Ideal Candidate
• Right to Work in the UK
• Ability to obtain enhanced DBS and BS7858 clearance
• Current SIA licence with relevant security experience
• Strong people skills and a customer focused approach
• UK driving licence or reliable travel to multiple sites when required
• High diligence and attention to detail
• Effective verbal and written communication
