About the Role
Days of Working Monday to Friday
Shift Pattern 06:30 to 15:00
Key responsibilities
• Handle day to day food preparation and duties assigned by senior chefs to meet site standards and quality
• Manage the cooking process at your station ensuring dishes are delivered on time
• Follow all safety hygiene and correct use of utensils and equipment at all times
• Notify senior chefs when inventory is running low and keep the kitchen stocked with fresh ingredients
• Work with the culinary team to maintain high quality food and service throughout the shift
What We Are Looking For
• Proven experience as a chef ideally in contract catering
• Level 2 qualification in catering and hospitality or equivalent
• Ability to demonstrate various cooking methods ingredients equipment and processes while multitasking under pressure
• Strong teamwork listening and communication skills
• Sound knowledge of legal standards for receiving preparation storage sanitation and full menu production and presentation
Ideal Candidate
• Right to Work in the UK
• City and Guilds BTEC or NVQ at a basic level required
• Level 2 food hygiene course desirable training available
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good time management and organisational ability
