About the Role
You will support the culinary team in preparing and serving high-quality dishes for clients and visitors.
Key responsibilities
• Handle day-to-day food preparation and duties assigned by senior chefs to meet site standards and quality
• Manage the cooking process at your station, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
• Maintain safety, hygiene and correct use of utensils and equipment at all times
• Monitor inventory levels and keep the kitchen stocked with fresh ingredients
• Work collaboratively with the team to provide consistent high-quality food and service
What We Are Looking For
• Proven experience as a chef, ideally within contract catering
• Level 2 qualification in Catering and Hospitality or equivalent
• Ability to demonstrate various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes while multitasking under pressure
• Strong teamwork, listening and communication skills
• Good understanding of legal standards for receiving, preparing, storing and presenting food
Ideal Candidate
• Right to Work in the UK
• Willing to undergo a DBS or enhanced security check
• Basic City & Guilds, BTEC or NVQ catering qualification (or working towards one)
• Level 2 food-hygiene certification desirable (training available)
• Excellent customer-service, time-management and organisational skills
